Introduction

EGI Check-in is a proxy service that operates as a central hub to connect federated Identity Providers (IdPs) with EGI service providers. Check-in allows users to select their preferred IdP so that they can access and use EGI services in a uniform and easy way.

Technical roadmap

Expected development activities for 2024 and 2025 are as below:

  • Development of plugins for Compute (ARC CE) and Storage services (dCache, STORM) to enable their compatibility with Check-in tokens. 
    • DIRAC integration (2024)
    • Compute (ARC CE, HTCondor) (2024)
    • Storage (dCache, STORM, Rucio) (2024-2025)
  • Further development of AAI interoperability with EOSC, and EOSC-related federations. 

New development activities will be discussed with the selected supplier(s).
