Introduction
This procedure describes the submission of the ticket to any WLCG Site for users with "Common" role. The “Common” role is the main role which any valid GGUS user will get. Currently, the role provides w/r access to most groups. The user with this role can submit the ticket to any Site or NGI or any support unit in GGUS.
Prerequisites
User has registered in the helpdesk and has an account with the role “Common”.
Procedure Description
The user with role “Common” opens a ticket in advanced interface:
The required fields are marked "*", other fields are optional. If the user has already a VO role, the field "Affected VO" will be prefilled. The user can specify "Notification mode" and add a list of "Notified groups", these groups will be notified about this ticket as well.
The ticket is submitted to the NGI group and notification is sent to the Site via the mailing list provided on the Groups page for the given site.
Procedure Instructions
- Prepare the ticket by filling only TITLE, TEXT.
- Choose first Site in the list using search field or browsing the list.
- Check the value in the Group field which is set automatically after the Site in chosen.
- Define the notification mode "on solution" meaning when ticket is solved, "on every update" meaning notification on every ticket update.
- Submit ticket by pressing create.
Expected Result
- The notification mail is submitted to the Contact list of the site.
- The notification mail is submitted to the NGI mailing list.
- The notification mail is submitted to the user who created the ticket.
