The Data Management Plan tool consists of two components. The first, ARGOS has been developed by openAIRE and is the service for creating data and accessing data management plans. The service is integrated into the openAIRE service catalogue (more information can be found here: https://www.openaire.eu/tag/dmp). The service is based on openDMP that is an open source tool for creating and managing DMPs created by openAIRE. The source code for the tool can be found in the EUDAT github: https://gitlab.eudat.eu/dmp/OpenAIRE-EUDAT-DMP-service-pilot.
The second component, eestore was developed in EOSC-Hub and provides a uniform interface to various registries that contain information that would be needed when creating a data management plan. For instance, a registry of metadata standards, or of repositories would allow the user to provide the correct metadata standard in their plan. The primary consumers of eestore data are data management plan services (such as ARGOS). The tool provides a simple API that can be used to populate drop-down menus. The eestore is not intended to be accessible to researchers on its own, but only through a DMP tool such as ARGOS when creating DMPs.
