CVMFS is a distributed file system used on grid sites for sof= tware distribution for several VOs (including all LHC VOs). This support un= it deals with operational matters of CVMFS.
CVMFS consists of several components which are handled by thi= s support unit, i.e. worker node client, Stratum 1 servers at T1 sites and = Stratum 0 server at CERN. Furthermore the unit can provide input on issues = with squid servers installed at sites for local caching of CVMFS data

Issues concerning the CVMFS middleware itself as well as the = software distributed by CVMFS will be handled by the support unit. Issues c= oncerning the CVMFS service itself will be re-assigned to the WLCG Tier0 or= the appropriate NGI Support Unit.
