The EGI CSIRT security team is organised in the following groups.
CSIRT's Incident Response Task For= ce (IRTF)
Handle day to day operational security is= sues and coordinate Computer-Security-Incident-Response across the EGI infr= astructure.
CSIRT Security Drills Group (SDG)= a>
The objectives of the Security-Drills are= twofold. One aspect is to get an overview of the incident response capabil= ities of the sites participating in EGI and improve the collaboration among= the distributed teams. The second is to improve the Security-Incident-Hand= ling capabilities of the EGI-CSIRT itself. Here we continuously have to rev= isit our procedures and check whether our tracing of the security activitie= s is sufficiently monitored and recorded.
CSIRT Security Monitoring Group (SM= G)
Develop, deploy and maintain security mon= itoring tools.
CSIRT Training and Dissemination Gr= oup (TDG)
Raise security awareness and improve secu= rity for system administrators by providing security training and best prac= tice
